Undercover High School kdrama wrapped the show with the final episode this week on March 29, 2025. The show ended with impressive ratings of 9/10 on MyDramaList and IMDb. Starring Seo Kang Joon and Jin Ki Joo, it is an action-comedy spy drama series comprising 12 episodes.
Jeong Hae Sung (Seo Kang Joon) is a National Security Intelligence agent. Due to a casualty in the mission, his team has only two choices— dismissal of their team or taking on another mission. With no option left, the team accepted the mission.
To fulfill the mission requirements, Jeong Hae Sung, his team’s ace, is selected to become a student at Byeongmun High School. Their mission is to find the missing gold bars of King Gojong, hidden somewhere in the school.
For Indian viewers you might get a dejavu, as the intro episodes can remind you of super hit, SRK starrer ‘Main Hoon Na’. These two have a few similarities, but Undercover High School kdrama has a kdrama touch to it.
Naming a few similarities, you’ll get to see friendship, student-teacher chemistry, and a corrupted villain.
As the story progresses, Hae Sung joins hands with O Su A (Jin Ki Joo), his homeroom teacher, who discovers his identity. They uncover the dark corruption and fixing going on under the table, which favours privileged students.
The drama is so beautifully written, and the character receives a second chance in life to correct the wrongs that society or fate inflicted upon him. He has received parental love, a sibling, a long-lost love, happy school memories, and friends for life.
If you enjoy romance, this drama might disappoint you as only a few sparks are shown in the drama. However, if you love plot twists and an engaging story, I highly recommend it. There are many surprises hidden under the stars in this series.
Whether it is the students, NIS team members, or the faculty of Byeongmun High School, every character has brought in their charm, which makes the show shine brighter. Their joint efforts in action, romance, or comic timing brought high ratings for Undercover High School Kdrama.
Overall, the chemistry between Seo Kang Joon and Jin Ki Joo is worth a watch. If you enjoyed the star cast chemistry in this drama, you can watch their other dramas as well.
If you fell for Seo Kang Joon’s magical eyes, make sure to marathon-watch Cheese in the Trap, Are you Human?, When the weather is fine.

You can also watch ‘The Witch’ KDrama, which also aired its last episode in the same week and received great engagement from the audience worldwide. Before you watch the drama, don’t forget to read the reviews to get a better viewing experience.
Have fun and we’ll meet next week with something new.
